The Walk

Isaiah 40:31 New Living Translation

But those who trust in the LORD will find new strength. They will soar high on wings like eagles. They will run and not grow weary. They will walk and not faint.

As Believers, righteousness can be defined as the quality of being morally right or justifiable in the eyes of God. To be in a right relationship with The Creator should be the ultimate desire of every living person.

This is not a guess work, or something we accomplish in our own strength or because of our holiness or good works. It is accepting God’s gift to us through Jesus Christ.

According to Genesis, God created His man and woman in perfect relationship with Himself and they willfully disobeyed and broke that relationship. Then He sent the Lord Jesus to deliver them (and all of the human race) from the powers of darkness and restore us back to the Kingdom of light - back into right relationship with Himself.

So, righteousness is knowing, understanding, embracing and walking in God’s ways of doing and being right. Not what’s right in our own eyes, but what’s right and acceptable in God’s eyes. We learn this by diligently reading and applying the Word of God to our daily lives. Yep, I know that may not always be easy - but thank God for the Holy Spirit who is our helper in all of this.

Let’s thank the Lord for His great and awesome plan of salvation and that because of Jesus, we’re accepted in His Beloved Family (Ephesians 1:6).

May God’s Presence be with you and yours.

Blessings,
