John 8:2-11 New International Version (NIV) v2 At dawn he appeared again in the temple courts, where all the people gathered around him, and he sat down to teach them. v3 The teachers of the law and the Pharisees brought in a woman caught in adultery. They made her stand before the group v4 and said to Jesus, “Teacher, this woman was caught in the act of adultery. v5 In the Law Moses commanded us to stone such women. Now, what do you say?” v6 They were using this question as a trap, in order to have a basis for accusing him. But Jesus bent down and started to write on the ground with his finger. v7 When they kept on questioning him, he straightened up and said to them, “Let anyone of you who is without sin be the first to throw a stone at her.” v8 Again he stooped down and wrote on the ground. v9 At this, those who heard began to go away one at a time, the older ones first, until only Jesus was left, with the woman still standing there. v10 Jesus straightened up and asked her, “Woman, where are they? Has no one condemned you?” v11 “No one, sir,” she said. “Then neither do I condemn you,” Jesus declared. “Go now and leave your life of sin.”

Hebrews 11:1 KJV: Faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen Young's Literal Translation: And Faith is of things hoped for a confidence, of matters not seen a conviction Amplified (AMP): Faith is the assurance (title deed, confirmation) God’s Word: Faith assures us of things we expect and convinces us of the existence of things we not see. So then Faith is something that you hold unto until you see the material thing. In order to have faith, you have to base it on what was said to you, given to you, or promised you. And believing it as true. Your faith has to be base on what was said to you! What was said to you from His Word, what did the Word say about your situation? What did He promise you? What did He do for you on calvary? What are your rights as being a child of God?

“I trust you, I believe you, I love you” These phrases are synonymous. Imagine this: A stranger just ran off the street, with a bag in hand. Panting and looking over their shoulder. With beads of sweat on their brow, they gave that bag to you, then and ran off. You would have a hard time trusting that the contents in the bag were safe. Sometimes this is how we treat God. We reverence and honor Him as God or Savior. But treat Him like a sketchy stranger. If we only knew that His gifts for us are perfect and are received through faith; through trusting and believing Him. Abraham had to come to this realization, or he would have never received his promise.
